A Financial Centre Built on Oman's Terms.
Independent. Common-law. Internationally aligned. A financial jurisdiction that combines the legal certainty investors demand with the stability and strategic position only Oman can offer.
What we are
An Independent Financial Centre for the World.
A specialised financial jurisdiction established by Royal Decree, issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, may Allah protect him, in January 2026. An independent legal, regulatory and judicial environment, fully separate from mainland legislation, built to give international businesses the clarity and confidence to operate and grow.
Three objectives sit at its core: attract international capital to Oman, support the growth of the Sultanate of Oman’s financial services sector, and connect investors with the Gulf, South Asia and East Africa.
A Sovereign Gateway to Global Capital
The International Financial Centre of Oman offers a Common-Law platform for fund managers, banks, family offices, and fintech innovators — backed by transparent regulation at the heart of the GCC.
-
An English common-law framework trusted by international investors worldwide. Laws written and enforced in English, with a fully independent judicial system.
-
Three independent entities: the IFC Oman Authority, the Regulatory Authority and the Dispute Resolution Authority. Clear accountability and separation across management, regulation and dispute resolution.
-
Regulatory framework aligned with FATF and IOSCO international standards, meeting the compliance thresholds of the world's most demanding markets.
-
One of the region's most competitive tax environments. Qualifying businesses benefit from unique tax incentives.
-
The Sultanate of Oman sits at the intersection of three economic corridors: the Gulf, South Asia and East Africa. Over three billion people within a four-hour flight from Muscat.
-
The Sultanate of Oman holds one of the region's longest-standing reputations for stability, principled engagement and institutional integrity. For investors seeking a long-term base, that reputation is a foundation.

Headquartered in Al Mouj, Muscat, with a permanent home at Madinat Al Irfan.
Adjacent to Muscat International Airport, Madinat Al Irfan is a fully integrated urban development combining business, residential, hospitality and cultural spaces.
IFC Oman gave our cross-border programme the credibility of an English-law venue without leaving the region. Settlement, governance, and disclosure all moved as one.
We needed a single perimeter that could carry institutional disclosure and family-office discretion at the same time. The centre delivered both — quietly.
An independent regulator, ringfenced governance, and a concierge that actually answers — that combination is hard to find in this part of the world.
